IEOSPC production process starts with the aggregation of quality nuts before the nuts are delivered to the factory. Our production process can be summarized roughly into 5-6 stages of activities;

Stage 1: Aggregation and sun drying of cashew nuts.

Freshly harvested cashew nuts are delivered to our aggregation centers by farmers directly. The nuts are checked and spread to dry in open space for about 2 days until a moisture content of about 8-10% is achieved.

Stage 2: Deshelling of cashew Kernel.

Dried raw cashew nuts are delivered to the factory warehouse where they are graded and prepared for processing. This activity at this stage entails boiling the cashew through steaming to soften the outer coating (shell) so that it can be cut and removed easily.

Stage 3: Removal of cashew husk.

The husk covering the kernel (also referred to as pink layer) is removed through a delicate process that avoids the kernel from breaking. This produces our white creamy kernel that goes to other stages of production.

Stage 4: Color Sorting & Quality Inspection.

The grading system is used to categorize white cashew kernels into several grades. The size, color, and texture of the nuts are frequently used to grade them. Of which, the classifications are done using international standards.

Stage 5: Packaging and Storage

Cashew kernels are packed in vacuumed sealed packaging to endure the pressures of transportation. The cashew packaging is designed to protect the goods and the dimensions of the package have to be compatible with standard pallet and container sizes.
Part of our processed cashew kernels are roasted and packed in customized Jars and bottles across Nigeria. Our cashew are sold across Nigeria Under our brand name “IEOSPC PREMIUM NUTS”
